AC Hotel Atocha by Marriott

We arrived having lost a passport! The staff could not have been more helpful. Our room got flooded by a fault in the room above and they immediately moved us to another room. We had to extend our stay at short notice(due to travel delays related to lost passport), which they did with no fuss. They made the nightmare start to our holiday on Spain as painfree as possible. The staff in bar and restaurant were friendly beyond belief, and looked after us like we were family. I would have no hesitation in staying there anytime We’re in Madrid.

Location is very good with easy access to Atocha and other Metro stations.[walking distance] Even tough, you have Museo del Prado at a 15min walking ALL of the personnel we interacted with was fantastic, helpful, cooperative and professional. They do whatever they need in their power to satisfy customer requests. Rooms are very big, nothing compared to European standards. On top, they are complete with a lockbox, mini fridge, perfectly clean and comfortable. Staff wil organize your every day to perfection. Wonderful design of the rooms with a very modern look. Breakfast buffet is fantastic with full of choices to all of tastes and diets. Great value for your money. [Reserved 5 months in advance, so I encourage to do so with time if you can, hotel was completely full]

Location is very convenient. It’s close to the Atocha train station and an easy, pleasant walk to the Prado Museum and other attractions. Very clean, comfortable hotel. Sleek, modern design which is very attractive, but somewhat impractical (see comments below). Great breakfast.

The room was very clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed, and a spotless bathroom. The continental breakfast was a little expensive, but very tasty with a good selection of meats and cheeses as well as fruits, pastries etc. All the staff from the front desk to the waitress in the breakfast were all super friendly.
